Language Support and Localization

1. Language Translation in Project Results Detailed Report PDFs: If you’ve opted to make use of the system’s language localization capabilities and offer your users the option to select their own preferred language in the system, your users will find the Project Results, Instructor Report, Student Report, and Instructor Means Report PDFs now export question text and response options in their selected language, provided the question text has been translated in the selected language. If a user has not selected an alternative preferred language, survey question text will continue to display in the default language you’ve chosen for your system. We will also be translating the PDF exports for Report Builder reports in an upcoming release, stay tuned!

2. Language Selection: In the Language selection dropdown, the name of each language will now display in its own language rather than English.
3. Help Center Hosting: Data governance and privacy are important topics to Watermark's customer-base. Watermark takes a mindful and strategic in its vendor management process. For example, we recently partnered with Zendesk to ensure our customers in the EU have a local instance -- a minor process change but an important one that demonstrates Watermark's commitment to privacy compliance.

API updates make it easier to retrieve the data you need!

1. New Endpoint - List Project Course Survey Questions: This new endpoint makes it easier to retrieve all of the questions associated with a course across multiple surveys. Previously you needed to call multiple API endpoints to retrieve this information; now you can call this one and get all the survey questions attached to a course under a project.
2. TA Names in the “Rawdata” APIs: Previously the “Raw Data Out” API didn’t include TA names, which made it difficult to understand which responses to TA questions were associated with which TA. As of this release, TA information will now be included. This change brings the API output in sync with what you can retrieve through the Excel raw data report.
3. Return Question Text without HTML Markup: With a new “descriptionNoHtml” column in your API results, you can now retrieve and make use of survey question text without HTML markup in the way.

Blackboard Ultra Data Integration Improvements

We also recently introduced some additional tools on the Watermark back end to ensure we can better support those of you going through a transition from Blackboard Learn Original to Blackboard Ultra. In particular, our updates focused on ensuring we can better match users from one Blackboard version to the next.
